If you’re trying to eat healthier and watch your nutrition, there’s a good chance you’ve read about the juicing craze online. You might’ve even checked out various juicers, read reviews, and stared sadly at the crazy prices. Or got thoroughly confused by the vehement arguments for and against juicing, and decided to put a pin in this and come back later.
The great news is, green smoothies give you all the benefits of juicing while retaining the fibre – letting you digest better and at a slower rate. You also need more realistic portions to make a glass of green smoothie than you do for the same glass of green juice! This makes green smoothies more affordable and overall better for you.
The smoothie we’re sharing today is our favourite of the green variety – it’s incredibly rich in immuno-boosting nutrients, and just packed with chlorophyll! You may have learned about chlorophyll in biology, but they probably left out the great benefits to the human body. Chlorophyll, found in most leafy veggies (like spinach, kale, celery, lettuce and so on) is packed with nutrients and helps clean the body of harmful toxins, oxygenate the blood and boost your energy levels. Another great thing about this smoothie is that it contains Slim Rice – so you’ll not only get all the nutrition you need, it’ll keep you full for hours as well!
Prepare Slim Rice as per package instructions (drained and rinsed).
Place all the ingredients into a blender.
Blend until smooth.
